Mountain Café & Rooms

A small mountain café with fresh coffee, homemade kuchen and warm pastries.

Route side refuge

The Coffee Stop

A quite refuge at journey’s end. Coffee, wood, and the slow return to warmth after the mountains.

At the edge of the traverse, where the trail meets the road to Mamuil Malal Pass, a small wooden café stands open to both travelers and those arriving on foot. There is no rush here — only the soft rhythm of the Andes, the scent of fresh coffee, and the calm of having made it through.

Homemade kuchen, warm pastries, and simple seasonal preparations are served with wide views over the surrounding landscape. A place to sit, to linger, and, if you choose, to stay the night in one of its quiet rooms.

The Rooms

A quiet place to rest. Warm wood, soft light, and the sound of water in the distance.

Set beside the café, two private rooms offer a calm and comfortable stay at the edge of the traverse. Designed with a warm, countryside feel and subtle mountain character, they provide a natural transition between the rhythm of the trail and the stillness of the landscape.

Each room features flexible king-size beds that can be arranged as twins, private bathrooms, and open views toward the Momolluco waterfall. Central heating, hot water, and a simple, well-prepared breakfast ensure a quiet and restorative experience.
